AUSTIN MINI COOPER S MK1 (1967)

SOLD  Splendid Austin Mini Cooper S Mk1 from 1967!

Sold new in France to the BMC Notre-Dame garage in Aix en Provence, this Mini has had only 3 owners!

The originality of this car is just incredible, we find absolutely all the details that an amateur will look for.
The body is the original one, lined trunk, all the numbers are present (original chassis and engine plate, body number on the front, FE number, floor number, windscreen wiper motor date, date on the rear trunk closure , etc.).
The engine is that of the car (AEG312 block), it has been slightly prepared with period parts (Longman cylinder head, 649 camshaft, H4 carb, lightened flywheel, right size gearbox), we we passed on our bench and the car puts out 90 horsepower for 116 Nm of torque.

You will not find a single point of corrosion, our Mini has been repainted only once (200 to 300 microns thick everywhere) and above all no sheet metal element has been replaced! Important detail, our Mini still has its two original 5-bolt bumpers which have never been replaced!

The interior is also superb, there are two period bucket seats at the front, an OMP roll bar (we even have its homologation) and all the original gold brocade upholstery (not a Newton reproduction), only the carpet was replaced by us (the original one was falling apart but we kept it in a box).

The icing on the cake, our Cooper S has an impressive history that traces the three owners of the car and incredible thing, we have the period service booklet, the warranty card, the user manual and the pocket Kennings from 1967!

It is clearly the most beautiful S that we have had for sale!
